I've been rather out of it recently and not very communicative recently, thus no attempts to post.
I can't really say what is new or happening these days. Nothing much, I guess.
I have been reading a lot, went through the Chronicles of Narnia (original order). I used to read these books every year, but since losing TLTWATW a few years ago, I haven't been able to think of reading them. So I found a used copy in the States and so could finally reread these books. I probably have some thoughts on them, but they aren't in my head at the moment, so I can't really say anything.
I also just started Absolute Sandman 3. I forget every time how easily it is to get drawn into these stories.
Totally and utterly disappointed by the new Tori album. Only five listenable songs, and only if I turn off a bit.
I've had some weird musical moments recently, like a short fascination with Lady Gaga, but I guess that's for another time as well.

I just made a mix CD for my mom for her birthday. This is the third one I've made for her, so she knows what to expect, more or less. This time around, she requested two of the new Dylan tunes, but then said, "I also really like Lady Gaga."
Completely confused by this (I had no idea who she was), I asked my sixteen year old niece, who replied, "She's like the David Bowie for our generation."
Okay, I thought. I'll check her out. Mom had said something about Dancing with the Stars, so I looked for her performance on it -- only to realize that I'd seen it, and it had totally frightened me. "Disco stick? What the eff is that?" (Of course, we all know what it means, but still. Disco stick?)
Anyway, I ended up buying the tune for her and putting it on the CD. You know what? It's not bad....
